As you can see I changed my profile picture which shows that I have lost so much weight. The new one was taken of me on the 4th of July this year at the annual family party in Minnesota.
I rode my bike up to it and it is a 770 mile round trip which was a ride I truly enjoyed. One nice thing is that my bike gets 52 miles per gallon which saves a lot of money buying gas versus driving my car up and back.
From the book Dune by Frank Herbert. When the Prince Leto Atreides finally has his epiphany he shouts "Father, the sleeper has awakened". I, on the other hand may still be awaiting mine.

Coming To Spring
As we get into March and it is Spring I am getting happy since I love when the days get longer. I also have been riding my BMW (which I'll refer to as the Beemer) quite a bit and since my last post I have hit the 33,000 mile mark. I stay comfortable (since it's been wintery lower than normal temperatures 20's and low 30's) by wearing my Bilt rain pants which block the wind and have a nice insulating liner which keeps me warm. I also wear a soft vest over my sweatshirt and cover it with a wind breaker and also a light weight jacket on top and my BMW armored riding jacket over the top of all that. I also wear my SIDI waterproof riding boots which are super high quality. It all keeps me warm.
When I ride I always go out on the back-roads to enjoy the wonderful sights I always see. I love doing that and also enjoy the lovely curves those roads have which makes the ride very fun vs. riding miles and miles in a straight line all the time.
When it warms up I have a few rides planned where I'll take some pictures and once I do that I'll post them. See you all later!
