Favorite Rides

One nice thing about my rides is I have a variety of back road rides that are trips down memory lane. That is true because they are on roads way out in the countryside that I used to ride on back in my teenage years. Also they are beautiful curvy back roads near Barrington with huge beautiful homes I love to see.

Also I have another ride I take that is a back road that goes along the East side of the Fox River North to South into Algonquin. It is interesting to see the homes on that road.

Also, I have many other rides that are in rural areas way out West from where I live. They are really nice to go on because there is very little traffic and many wonderful places to see! One really interesting home I see is a mansion with four garage doors and it is super large. Also they always put up beautiful decorations for all the holidays. At Christmas time they have a giant Christmas tree decoration that is 30 feet tall and 10 feet in diameter.

Motorcycle Riding!!!

I thought it will be nice to post my thoughts about riding! I love to ride my BMW because it is a truly awesome motorcycle! It is the best handling bike I've ever owned! It also gets excellent mileage! I usually average 54 miles per gallon! One more nice thing is it performs extremely well! It accelerates 0 to 60 in just under 4 seconds! One other really nice thing is it has power assisted disk brakes with anti-lock braking. When I brake really hard the bike stops very quickly without locking the wheels and skidding.

Another really nice thing I have is my Garmin zumo 660LM GPS which is the one they make for motorcycles. I have mounted on the handlebars with the handlebar mount it came with.

It is truly awesome! I use it as my speedometer because it is much more accurate than the speedometer the BMW has. Another nice thing is it has free lifetime map updates which saves lots of money over the years of ownership. In the past I spent about $60 to $100 a year for map updates.

When I ride I always go on a variety of very curvy back roads that I really enjoy riding on! I use Garmin Basecamp to build my back road routes and load them into the GPS which is really nice to do!
